Fighting Hunger in Southeast
Texas
Our mission at the
Southeast Texas Food Bank is to procure and
provide food and other resources to nonprofit organizations to
alleviate hunger in the impoverished areas of southeast Texas and
the neighboring counties. We serve the counties of Jefferson,
Orange, Hardin, Jasper, Newton, Polk, Sabine, and
Tyler. We distribute to approximately 130 nonprofit
agencies within these 8 counties. Call for more information about the communities we

Food Bank Facts: | More than 16,000 households receive food each month from member agencies of the Southeast Texas Food Bank. Approximately 200,000 meals are prepared each month with food provided by the Food Bank. 1 in every 4 children in Texas lives in poverty. 15% of the elderly in Southeast Texas live in poverty.
